Mastering Men’s Bracelet Wear

Men’s bracelets have stepped away from the shadows into the limelight of modern jewelry. Today, bracelets are no longer just an afterthought—they are an essential part of a well-rounded wardrobe. Learn more about the styles and significance of bracelets for men below.

Should Men Wear Bracelets?

Accessories like watches and rings have long been staples of menswear, but bracelets are sometimes seen as a more controversial addition. Recently, however, the wrist has become an increasingly important space for accessories. Stars like Chris Hemsworth, Justin Bieber and even athletes like David Beckham have made bracelets a signature part of their looks, proving that men not only can wear bracelets, but they absolutely should.

How to Wear Men’s Bracelets

Jewelry connoisseurs value bracelets for their unique ability to soften or complete an outfit. If you’re new to bracelets, begin with something subtle. A rugged men’s leather bracelet or a classic men’s gold bracelet is a great entry pointMen’s silver bracelets are a natural choice: sleek and lustrous with cool tones that can speak to the heart of any man. Men’s beaded bracelets with semi-precious stones are ideal for those who seek meaning in their accessories. Men’s diamond bracelets are anything but overpowering, offering a timeless design with just the right amount of bling. Men’s designer bracelets, like the Marco Dal Maso bracelet pictured below, add a high-end touch that any fashion-forward individual can appreciate. For a clean look, try to limit your wristwear to one or two pieces at a time. Learn how to pair a men’s luxury watch with a bracelet for a refined, sophisticated ensemble in our article here.

How Should a Men’s Bracelet Fit?

Men’s bracelet sizes generally fall into three categories: small (6.5 to 7 inches), medium (7 to 7.5 inches)the average men’s bracelet sizeand large (7.5 to 8 inches). Men’s chain bracelets typically measure around 7.5 inches, but you may need to adjust by a quarter or half inch depending on your wrist size. The bracelet should rest comfortably just above the wrist bone, near the forearm, allowing for natural movement without excessive sliding. Men’s cuff bracelets, which are rigid and open-ended, should fit snugly without pinching or shifting up and down the arm. Most standard cuffs fall within the 6.5 to 7.5-inch range, although wider cuffs may require a slightly larger fit. Men’s bangle bracelets, unlike cuffs, don’t have openings or clasps, which means they need to fit over the hand and wrist with ease. Bangles are sized by diameter rather than length, with the most common size for men being around 8 inches in diameter, corresponding to a wrist size of 7 to 7.5 inches. To ensure a proper fit, measure the widest part of your hand (usually your knuckles) to make sure the bangle will slip on and off easily without being too loose. It’s important to note that the width of both cuffs and bangles should be proportional to the size of your wrist. If you’re unable to find your perfect match, consult with one of our jewelry experts about adjustable lengths or custom sizing.
